Everyone's so serious today...

which is not a bad thing at all.

Frankly, I can handle only so many posts on granite counter tops (without which lives are empty and sad - or something.)

Debra, over at Bodeci Body has a wonderful post on validation -   Happiness or Validation
and Bliss, over at Stepping My Way to Bliss, is starting a new series  and brings up some very important questions about the way we live.

As for me?  I'm, busy building ritual which sounds so much better than forming a habit.  Remember the book I had my hubby read while managing to keep my big yap shut?  Well, in "The Way We're Working Isn't Working" the author refers to habit changing as "building ritual."  Since last week we have been to the gym for eight straight days. Allow me to repeat that.  We have been to the gym eight straight days. If you ask hubby why - expect to hear,  "We're building ritual."

So glad I kept my mouth shut and allowed hubby to "own that book."

Adrienne - ritual sounds sooooooo much better. When I think "habit", I think "bad."

8 days in a row! Wow! I like the word 'ritual'. It sounds healthier than habit. I saw your glass bell in the previous post. I found one of those a couple of months ago at a thrift, too, and am using it as a cloche. I got a good laugh at your comment on my post. Thanks for stopping by.

I love all the points that you made Adrienne and will, too, adopt the word "ritual". Great post that has caused me to ponder on things!
