I'm gearing up to do a complete make-over of my home office. Space is tight and it's just not working anymore. I'm leaning toward a blue and brown combo.
I really like this room because there is lots of white. I can't handle anything being too dark.
And I really like the looks of this room...
The desk below is almost identical to my "computer desk" except mine is a beautiful wood with a herringbone pattern on top. And, no - I'm not going to paint it white. It was the first piece of furniture I ever bought about 40 years ago. It's been a desk, a dressing table, a entry way "table", and now it's a "computer" desk.
I also have my large Colonel Governor Winthrop desk in my office for my "desk" work exactly like this one.
I'll take some pictures of the actual room (and I won't even clean it up first - aren't I brave??) My biggest problem is a work space for my crafty and Etsy projects and some idea's are jelling in my little pea brain.
I'm hoping you will all help me with this journey. Hundreds of heads are so much better than one...
Back to pot painting...

Hi Adrienne....I had a fabulous day in my home office, organizing, sorting, etc. It was absolutely great and I loved every single second of it.
Good luck with your office's transformation. Can't wait to see the before, during, and after photos. Sincerely, Susan
Looking forward to seeing your office redo. I have so many redos I want to accomplish - just need to do something about them.
Hope you are having a great week.
aaaaaaccckkk! look at all that white!!!
I'd paint the walls a very light shade of the blue in that fabric with the little white flowers. THEN all your white and brown furniture will stand out against the walls, and anything little splashes of blue (ie, whereever you use that fabric) you put throughout the room will really stand out. Plus it WON'T look dark overall, but rather light and airy.....and will particularly inviting on a dreary/cloudly day!
course, my living room is decorated pretty much exactly this way....so go figure.....if you need pics scroll through my blog....HONEST.
Glenda - I expect your help - not your just sitting back and taking it easy! heh
Susan - Great day for you. Want to do it in my office?? Please?
MM- I'm leaning toward the light blue walls and do the rest with fabric. Organizing the space is going to be the big challenge.
