Hard at Work

I've been working hard painting and assembling ornaments for my Etsy shop. I have also constructed a wonderful little light box to help take some decent photos.  I have to run to Costco but when I get back, I promise (double pinky swear!), to put up some pictures of the light box.  I'm going to pick up some different light bulbs because the nighttime photos taken in the light box have a yellow tinge. I'm thinking the Reveal light bulbs may be better.  Any photo experts out there to help with that question?

These first two pictures were my test photos in the light box (no flash used.)  I didn't do any touching up or adjustments - that's why the seams of the paper show.  I may replace the tissue paper with white poster board, too.

This next test photo was taken at night. Notice how yellow it is?

This one was also during the day:

Off to Costco, Hancock Fabric, and few other errands.  I'll also be visiting the last four lovely ladies that left comments.  Check out my visiting post  - I had great fun while at the same time deciding that I had the ugliest house in the world!  I'm better today...

Update: A quick Google on lighting produced this:

6.) Lights ‘ You will need to light this box and this could be the most expensive part of the box unless you already have the lights. In my opinion lighting is the most important part of this box. Without it you will not get the picture you desire. I went to my local hardware store and picked up some “Daylight” Bulbs. Using regular light bulbs will cast a yellow light and should be avoided. source

That's the second article that recommended "daylight" bulbs. Well, ok then - guess that's what I'll get...

Those are Beautiful! You are very talented. I made some ornaments many years ago and most have become a little worn around the edges and beads popping off from so many years of use.
Thanks for visiting and becoming a reader - hope I don't get to boring for you. :)
