Forsythia in Bloom
Remember the forsythia branches I dragged in last week and artlessly crammed into a jar? It's raining today and now I have these beautiful flowers to brighten my day. The best part is they were free...

To me, they are one of the first signs of Spring. One of my neighbors has a bush & I was tempted, but backed off. :-) Love that birdcage.
Glenda - how about asking for a small branch to root? Bushes like forsythia, red and yellow twig dogwood, and lilacs root easily.
I started with one red twig dogwood. I now have about 25 (not counting the ones I've rooted and given away.)
The birdcage was a Ross find for $6.99. I'm thinking it needs to be a different color. In certain lights it looks really green.
Very pretty, Adrienne. Forsythia is so bright and cheery. Take care. Sincerely, Susan
