Feeling Rich Friday

Clean sheets on the bed make me feel rich.

I change the sheets every Thursday. I used to change them on Friday as a sort of "welcome to the weekend", but Thursday proved to be a better day in my schedule.

During the summer I hang my laundry out to dry. My husband put up a wonderful clothes line as one of his first projects when we moved to this house. All the sheets are kept in a breakfront in our bedroom which is filled with fresh lavender sachets made with lavender from my garden.

The combination of sun-dried laundry and lavender is heavenly. It is awareness of the simple things in life that make our lives rich. Who needs a Rolls Royce when you can have fresh sheets?

My clothes line. I know there's nothing hanging on it but I didn't feel right about a picture displaying my knickers on the internet, and I'm waaaaaaaaaaay too lazy to "stage" a picture.

A lovely water color...

Tuscany scene...

I love these colors...

Boy - that's a lot of laundry!

Maybe this is Kansas. It's windy...

And my very, very favorite...

Tell us what makes you feel rich?

Have a wonderful holiday weekend and God bless!

P.S. Check out my beautiful new pincushion on my other blog...

Hi Adrienne, I didn't know that you had another blog. I really like what you chat about and wanted to respond to your weekly ritual of changing the bed linens. I thought that I was the only nut out there that did that!!! LOL! But, like you, it makes me (and my hubbie) feel incredible sliding into those clean, wonderful smelling sheets after a long hard day. I wish I could do it bi-weekly, but just don't have the time! What else makes me feel rich or in luxury? My bathroom full of powders and potions, and lotions, and girly feel-good in the tub type of stuff. And a glass of good wine every now and then!

I started to follow you as well so I can keep up with your posts! And thanks for inspiring more of your followers to come over to mine (especially my Catholic blog, cuz I think we need to help others develop their faith better in these very scary times).

I'll also add this blog to my Bella Vita blog's blogroll!

Love, Roz
